About Our Chapter

shutterstock_389133124 copySF+Acumen is one of 24 +Acumen chapters around the world dedicated to inspiring, empowering and mobilizing the Bay Area community around Acumen’s mission of rethinking the way the world tackles poverty.

Through online courses, community building and events, we seek to be the premier Bay Area hub for like-minded individuals to connect and converse around Acumen’s ideals and principles while also empowering the broader Bay Area community to join us in this charge.

Aniruddha Kadam, Co-Chair

Aniruddha Kadam, Co-Chair

Aniruddha is an experience designer by profession and has worked across India, Europe, and the United States. He tries to use design as a solution to social problems. He has joined the SF+Acumen chapter to use his experience to strengthen the organization’s cause and impact in third world countries. Aniruddha is an aspiring street photographer, hiker at heart, and a budding rock climber.

Catheline Leung

Catheline Leung

Catheline is a digital marketing professional who has worked with clients in the technology, retail, and consumer packaged goods space. She has a passion for social good and has been dedicated to working at non-profits since high school, including American Red Cross, ArtSeed, Taproot Foundation, HandsOn Bay Area, and the International Rescue Committee. Catheline is honored to leverage her skill set to a cause like Acumen to support underserved populations to improve their lives long-term.  On the side, Catheline also teaches figure skating and is a rock climbing and snowboarding enthusiast.

Hannah Lee

Hannah Lee

Hannah currently works at C3 Energy, a big data, smart grid analytics firm providing software solutions to energy providers. Previously, Hannah worked with AECOM in Hong Kong as an environmental city planner on climate resilience, smart city, and water sensitive urban design projects across Asia. She loves talking about sanitation, civics, encouraging service, and Acumen!

Iris Chae

Iris Chae

After moving to San Francisco from Chicago, Iris was excited to find the opportunity to join SF+Acumen as she always has had a passion for social impact and emerging markets and thoroughly enjoyed reading The Blue Sweater. Iris currently works in the Mobile Partnerships team at Facebook. Prior to that, she was a management consultant at Accenture. Iris holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University, and a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She loves traveling, good food, and Broadway shows.

Kaitlynn Saldanha, Co-Chair

Kaitlynn Saldanha, Co-Chair

Kaitlynn is motivated by innovation at the bottom of the pyramid, strategic philanthropy and the potential in unlocking untapped human capital, particularly in underserved communities. Her experience spans India’s low-cost education sector, Uganda’s clean energy market, and youth development through experiential learning. Kaitlynn received her B.A. in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College and currently works in External Affairs at Teach For America. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, endurance athlete, and coffee snob, always looking for the next adventure.

Michael Evertsberg

Michael Evertsberg

 

Michael holds a B.A. in Psychology & Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and has worked in the nonprofit and social impact space his entire professional career, primarily in the education sector. He started as a Teach For America corps member, where he taught Biology and Environmental Science at a high school in north-central Miami, FL. Currently he works for TFA’s national nonprofit organization on the centralized Data, Analytics, and Reporting team. He loves playing volleyball and golf, hiking around the Bay Area, reading, and working on community revitalization and sustainability projects.
